Wellesley is pleased to announce the signing of a Letter of Intent (LOI) with CIMC Offshore AS for the Deepsea Yantai, operated by Odfjell Drilling, for use in 2023 to drill the Carmen well in PL1148.
PL1148 was awarded in the APA 2021 licence round to Wellesley (50%) as operator and Equinor (50%) as non-operating partner. Carmen will be Wellesley’s first operated HP/HT well, and is located in the prolific Brent fairway in the FANTA area that has delivered four commercial discoveries in the last three years.
